Step 1:
At first, you need to get the latest version of Java so go to <java.com/en/download> and download the latest version.

Now, you have to download the latest version of the server from the official download page of Minecraft. It is a <server.jar> file. You have to put that file in a folder where you want to run the Minecraft server.
Step 3:
After that, you have to open the Windows command prompt in the specific folder where you have put the server jar file.
Step 4:
Now put the command same as written: (java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui) and give enter. Then once it will run, the Minecraft server will automatically create some files in the folder it is situated in and you will receive an error message about the EULA.
Thereafter you have to open the generated eula.txt file and set it to eula=true. After doing that, this time it will run successfully.
Step 5:
Now, at the very endpoint of running, you have to use the stop. It will safely close down the server and it will save the world.
Step 6:
Next, please open the Minecraft game and click on the Multiplayer option. After that, click on Direct Connect. With this, you’ll be entering an IP address which is based upon where you are relative to the server computer. Enjoy the game with your friend.
